TRAINING UNDER CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE - MANUFACTURING

Under USDP Project, Uganda Technical College – Bushenyi carried out a labour survey to identify the gaps in the manufacturing trades. It was discovered that industries lacked Metal fabricators, Metal Fabrication Technicians, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Automated Machine Operators and Industrial Production Technicians.
With the help of Twining Partner (Sphere), Uganda Technical College – Bushenyi has developed its first ever Curricular in Uganda in Manufacturing Trades for Level 3 and 4 technicians.
Among the functions of a Centre of Excellence (CoE), it is supposed to work with a cluster of other training Institutions. Uganda Technical College – Bushenyi has already partnered with three Vocational Training Institutions (VTIs) which include Lake Katwe Technical Institute, Nyamitanga Technical Institute and Karera Technical Institute to train technician s of Level 3.
